China Coal Overseas Development Co, a subsidiary of China National Coal Mining Equipment, supplied Russian mine Aolireasji with a complete set of fully mechanised sub-level caving equipment.
Equipment exported included sub-level caving power supports, the front and rear heavy-duty armoured face conveyors, shearer and stage loader. The total installed power of the system is about 3500kW.
China Coal Overseas Development Co guaranteed the system would achieve 6000t per day over a 12-month period. The guaranteed production was achieved by the mine in about six months with a maximum daily output of more than 10,000t.
Total cost for the 150m turnkey longwall mining system was about $A30 million.
"The system was ordered in November 2005 and was supplied to the mine in June 2006 with guaranteed production achieved in December 2006 – not a bad feat in anyone's books," Ellton Longwall managing director Mark Newton said.
In Australia Ellton Longwall is the official agent for China National Coal Mining Equipment – the largest longwall equipment manufacturer in China.
The specific equipment that can be supplied by Ellton includes:
